Forget it and Regret it

How thoughtless - would you believe that one in four people forget Mother's Day? United House's Gift Card Association (GCA) wants to put an end to this and is reminding people about the day.

"Mothering Sunday is an official Church of England sanctioned event, which takes place on the fourth Sunday in Lent," said Sharon Little, GCA's General Manager. "It was thought to have originated from the custom of Mother Worship in ancient Greece and from the Ancient Roman holiday, Matronalia.

Today it is celebrated around the world with special cards and gifts." So don't forget, it's March 22nd.

The GCA is the hub of the UK card industry. It organises the judging of the Henries - the greeting card Oscars and often leaves free cards at the United House reception. Their workplace has also appeared on BBC's The Apprentice.
