The Busworks is the Backdrop for Innovation

The Busworks offices are featured in ‘Wired UK’ magazine this month. The offices are the backdrop to a photo shoot, and will be part of an article about the co-founder of ex-Busworks resident Tinker.it!

Wired Magazine came to the Busworks offices in early May for a photo shoot of Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, the co-founder and CEO of Tinker.it! She will be featured as the magazines ‘Rising Star of Design’. The article highlights how Tinker.it! are supporting the growing field of DIY electronics. Tinker.it! raise awareness about interaction design, the discipline of defining the behaviour of products and systems and how the user interacts with them. One example is their Arduino device.“open-source and easy to use platform for learning electronics.”

The Wired article follows on from the BBC online article featuring Tinker.it! and The Busworks in May. Alexandra spoke to the BBC about her Arduino device, she said, “The Arduino was dreamed up with the aim of helping people to get on with building what they have dreamed up, rather than simply dreaming.” Tinker.it! runs training courses, teaching people how to use The Arduino. Tinker.it! is an innovative consultancy that works with technology and applies it to interactive experiences through products, spaces and events.
