Art display in United House
Six recent works from
Italian artist Irma Irsara are being showcased in the United House foyer, thanks to Ailbhe Phelan and Mark Nolan from Busworks
resident Decoder.
The paper-pulp artist held a private showing on
August 17th, in which members of the public were invited to come along and ask her questions about the
paintings.
Irsara says her pieces are inspired by the breathing spaces of a city – whether it is a favourite corner of the street with shrubs and sprawling undergrowth, or even the sense of
enjoyment of walking through a local park.
“Bright colours are used to create space and energy, and each piece is left
unframed to allow it to integrate with the surroundings and breathe.”
“The representation of unity between city-life and the natural world makes these fantastic works ideally suited to the Busworks
surroundings,” she said.
View the paintings in the United House foyer before the end of September.
