Inbetweeners and Skins stars raise Benchmark

Young pin-ups, Jack O’ Connell (Skins, Eden Lake) and Harry Lloyd-Hughes (The Inbetweeners) are the leading characters in the anticipated movie from Busworks based production company Benchmark Films. 

Weekender is a wild journey across 1990s Europe tracking the explosion of rave music in UK clubs. Gripped viewers will be able to follow their skilful portrayal of anti heroes Dylan and Matt, two young, successful club promoters whose world takes a sinister twist.

With much of the filming conducted around North 
London, and in particular the Busworks offices, there is added reason to watch this ambitious, gritty portrayal of 90s urban Britain. 

Critically acclaimed for their 2008 release The Crew, Benchmark Films are expecting Weekender, with its celebrity cast, to gain similar praise. 

The film is currently in the latter stages of production and will be coming to a screen near you in early 2011.
